XIV South American Symposium on Isotope Geology
13-16 April, 2026
Montevideo, Uruguay
Welcome
We are pleased to announce that the XIV South American Symposium on Isotope Geology (SSAGI) will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay from April 13th to 16th 2026.
The XIV SSAGI will be held in an in-person format at the Town Hall Conference Centre of Montevideo (18 de Julio, Avue. 1360 – floor 1 ½, Montevideo), Cordón neighborhood, just a few steps from the kilometer zero of the city (Cagancha Square) and the historic center.
The symposium aims to bring together the Latin American geoscientific community to present new contributions and to exchange ideas on the application of isotope geochemistry and geochronology to basic and applied research. The conferences will cover subjects like crustal and mantle evolution, geochronology of metamorphic and igneous processes, geochronology and isotope geochemistry of ore deposits, low temperature geochronology of geological processes, isotope applications in paleoclimatology, sedimentary provenance, environmental geochemistry and hydrogeology, forensic science, and new isotope developments.
The XIV SSAGI is hosted by the SUG – Uruguayan Geological Society and organized by committees composed by geoscientists from Universities and Research Centers.
